About

What is Swamp Watch?

Swamp Watch is a political news brand that exposes corruption and hypocrisy in American politics. We look at who funds politicians, what the donors get back, and whether officials follow the rules they set for everyone else.

Mission

Campaigns and officials have to report who gives them money and what they own. Those reports sit in public databases at the Federal Election Commission, in Congress, and in every state. We read them and check what the officeholder did for the people who paid.

We ask the same questions about every officeholder, in both parties. Who paid? What did the donor get? Does the politician follow the rules they set for everyone else?

What we publish

  • Daily receipts on X and Threads. Each post shows a donation or disclosure and what followed, with the source in the first reply. This site sorts them by politician and by topic.
  • Short vertical videos on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. A host on camera walks through one story with the documents and headlines on screen.
  • Documentaries. Long-form investigations. The first, The Closetocracy, premieres October 22, 2026, on The Lindsey Graham Files.
  • Explainers on the rules behind the money, such as what a super PAC is and how financial disclosures work.

What we cover

How we source

Each story needs the money, what followed it, and a source for both. We work from primary records wherever they exist, including campaign finance filings, financial disclosures, legislative roll calls, congressional reports, and court documents. When a story builds on someone else's reporting, we link to it and credit it.

The standards page explains our method, how we verify, and how we handle corrections.
